Bathurst Regional Council is participating in the 2014 Sustainable House Day, on the above date, whereby green homes across Australia will open to the general public to provide practical information on how to successfully integrate renewable energy, recycling and sustainable materials and practices into the home and lifestyle.
The Sustainable Lifestyle House has been funded by Bathurst Regional Council as a means to improve awareness and encourage adoption of sustainable building design.

The Sustainable Lifestyle House has used a range of these measures to demonstrate what can be done in your own home. It is not intended to include all these features in your own design, but to consider them when you embark on your build or renovation project.
What’s next? The house will be tenanted and opened to the public on a regular basis. This way, we will be able to demonstrate how effective the house is a home.
